HAWKER HURRICANE (NO 302 SQN. RAF) set - In tribute to Polish heroes: from Duxford to Dęblin! Do you want to commemorate the heroism of Polish pilots and create a souvenir from an important event? Build a model of the legendary HAWKER HURRICANE aircraft - a machine that fought for freedom under the skies of England!

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the 100th anniversary of the Air Force Academy in Dęblin, in August 2025 there will be a unique flight of a Hurricane aircraft from Duxford (Great Britain) to Dęblin. The event is organized by The Polish Heritage Flight and the Polish Airmen Remembrance Committee. The aircraft will have the markings of the 302nd "City of Poznań" Squadron, which was stationed at RAF Duxford in September 1940. The aircraft that will visit Polish skies was built in 1942 at the Canadian Car Foundry and initially went to the 123rd Canadian Squadron.

It survived the war and in 1985 was restored so perfectly that it made its next flight four years later. The sight and sound of the Hawker Hurricane over the Polish skies will be a symbol of gratitude to the Poles who fought over England during World War II. COBI supports this event by presenting a model of the HAWKER HURRICANE (NO 302 SQN. RAF), which will take part in this historic flight!

Hawker Hurricane - the aircraft of Polish aces! Since September 1940, Polish pilots from the 302 "Poznański" Squadron fought the German Luftwaffe in planes such as the Hawker Hurricane. They were Polish pilots who, after the defeat in 1939, reached England through France to fight the German occupiers. Their heroism will remain in memory forever!

• Hurricane is generally inferior to all 1941 fighters, and inadequate against all 1942 and
later fighters. It is mostly effective against bombers or as a ground attack plane.
• Hurricane has regretful acceleration and dive characteristics, therefore should generally
be used in horizontal combat.
• Be aware that all instrumentation in the Hurricane is not metric but imperial, therefore you
will need to learn to convert feet to meters and mile to kilometers when flying on
instruments.
Hurricane is a rather stable gunnery platform with armament sufficient to bring down any
target at ranges under 300 meters.
• Supercharger speeds should be set to speed 2 in combat or in climb if boost is 2-5 psi
below max; otherwise use speed 1.

4,500 and 6,500 for speed 2.
