It consists of 125 precise elements that allow for a faithful reproduction of the legendary Bf 109 G - one of the most famous aircraft from World War II.

Bf 109 G - Aviation icon:

The Bf 109 G was one of the most important combat aircraft of World War II, used by the German Luftwaffe in many key battles, including the Battle of Britain. Its design, with a streamlined fuselage and a powerful DB 605 engine, made it an exceptionally agile and fast fighter. The Bf 109 G model in this version also has a technological curiosity - a 1,475 HP engine, which allowed it to reach speeds of over 600 km/h.

Bf 109 G modifications:

During World War II, the Bf 109 G underwent a number of modifications that improved its performance and adapted it to changing conditions. Initially, the fighter was armed with machine guns, but over time the modifications included adding more powerful weapons, including 20mm cannons. What's more, in the tropical versions, the cooling system was changed, adapting it to the hot climate of North Africa. Another modification was the use of different types of camouflage, adapted to the areas where the Bf 109 G was to operate, which made it even more difficult for enemies to notice.

Moving elements and unique camouflage:

Feel like a real aircraft designer! The Bf 109 G model is equipped with movable elements like rotating propeller and movable ailerons, which gives the plane an interactive character. Additionally the model is covered with the original camouflage used by the Luftwaffe. Thanks to this, the model looks like a real wartime combat machine, maintaining its unique aesthetic even after long-term play.

Easy construction and education through play:

The set contains intuitive instructions that allow you to assemble the model step by step, regardless of your building experience. Every aviation enthusiast, regardless of age, will discover not only the joy of building, but also fascinating aspects of aviation history while assembling the model.

• Poor rear visibility;
• Heavier construction;
• Short range.
• Gunsight Note: The gunsight in this aircraft, as in many German planes, was
positioned off-center.
• The Gustav model of the 109 shows an incredible ability to keep the fighter’s design a
step ahead of most contemporary enemy planes. With the possible exception of the 1943
G-6, you will never feel inferior to any contemporary enemy fighter in your new 109
model. The same engagement strategies apply here as to the Franz and Emil. Feel free
to enter an angles fight with the enemy if you feel confident enough. If you’re looking for
an easy victory, stay above 450 km/h in a fight and attack the enemy in 500 km/h+ dives
and you should be able to defeat almost any opponent.
• 109’s armament is always enough to bring down a fighter, but can sometimes be a bit
insufficient against better armored bombers like the IL-2. When you know you’ll have to
face targets like that make sure to grab underwing gun pods, or a 30mm MK-108 cannon
in the nose. With the gunpods or the MK-108 you will bring down any target with a single accurate burst.
• 109 is not a very stable gunnery platform under 350 km/h and you may find your aim
getting thrown off and your rounds scattering too much when firing at slow speeds.
Accelerate to 350 km/h or more and your bursts should be much more accurate.
• It’s very hard to stall or spin the 109 but that certainly has been done by some less
capable pilots who were too rough with their crate.  (Il2 Aircraft Guide)
